This 727 spent its first year flying passengers for Eastern Airlines until FedEx purchased this with many others to turn into cargo planes delivering packages around the world. In February of 2013, it made its final flight to Fairbanks International Airport where it retired at the East Ramp. It was donated to the University of Alaska Fairbanks for those who are interested in learning about aviation.
