History

Twenty buses were brought up to Alaska from California with only sixteen in operating condition to serve on the Anchorage Transit Authority. 532 was the last bus to operate and had 1,000,000,000 miles. serving in Alaska. It got its nickname “Old Blister” by being the oldest at the time and the hard steering and was difficult to operate in the winter causing the bus drivers to get blisters. Although it needed repairs it still was a good bus and retired in 1984. It made its last trip up to Wasilla where it is displayed on the lawn at the Museum of Alaska Transportation and Industry.
